Furqania Academy

Established in 1970, Furqania Academy is a pioneering research institute of the Indian subcontinent engaged in the field of scientific research on Islamic studies and modern thought. It is marked as a unique research centre which is exerting its best to take up the lofty job of preparing and publishing works for the propagation of Islamic ideals and thought. All this is being done to meet the challenges of modern thought, theories and materialistic philosophies. The Academy is preparing new type of literature in various languages. It has already published more than fifty books in Urdu, English and Arabic languages. Many more are awaiting publication. Some of its Arabic and Urdu books have been published from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan as well and these have reached all corners of the Muslim world. They have been regarded as authoritative by the intellectual circles and proffering new direction to the Muslim Ummah in the present-day scientific world. Several qualified scholars have been enrolled as Fellows of the Academy. And they are producing original and translated works on topics relevant to religion, character building and Islamic studies and thought.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • To establish the marvellous nature of the holy Qur’an and hadith in the light of the modern scientific knowledge
  • To prove the veracity of the religious values and principles of Islam in the light of modern science
  • To prove the unity of knowledge, revealed and acquired
  • To counter materialism and atheism on the intellectual plane
  • To prepare Islamic literature in the contemporary idiom in English, Arabic, Urdu and other Indian and world languages
  • To present the intellectual and philosophical aspects of Islam and its legal system to the intelligentsia in the present-day idiom
  • To prepare a comprehensive plan for the renaissance of the Muslim Ummah
  • To hold seminars and symposia for a meaningful intellectual interaction between the learned theologians and experts of the modern sciences
  • To prepare new curriculum books for schools, colleges and universities
  • To establish a grand Islamic library
